At DFC Australia, our programmes are designed to empower children and young people to become changemakers in their communities. Rooted in the I CAN Mindset and the Design Thinking methodology, each programme combines creativity, empathy, and action to inspire meaningful impact.
School & Community Projects
Children and youth identify issues that matter to them from sustainability and inclusion to health and well-being and design solutions that make a real difference. These projects are student-led, teacher-supported, and community-driven, giving young people ownership of

- Encourages teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership
- Projects often shared at local or global DFC platforms
Educator Training & Workshops
We equip teachers, educators, and community leaders with tools to bring Design Thinking and the I CAN Mindset into their classrooms and groups. Training is hands-on, practical, and adaptable to both formal and informal learning contexts.

Partnerships & Collaborations

Global DFC Network
Being part of DFC connects young Australians with a worldwide community of changemakers. Students and educators can showcase their projects internationally, exchange ideas with peers, and take part in global events such as the annual Be the Change celebration.
